SaudiNIC participation in the IPv6 workshop

SaudiNIC participated in the IPv6 workshop that was organized by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) on Tuesday, May 10, 2011(7 Jumada II 1432 H), from 8:00 AM to 3:00PM at Sheraton – Riyadh Hotel. SaudiNIC participated by sharing it's experience in deploying IPv6 in its infrastructure and systems The workshop discussed a number of working papers presented by a group of experts and speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom. It should be noted that IPv6 will gradually replace the current Internet Protocol (IPv4). IPv6 can accommodate a huge number of Internet addresses, that will meet the future Internet needs for addresses, for decades, and it allows the emergence of new innovative applications, thanks to the availability of these addresses, as well as to take into account things on a high degree of importance for the Internet services such as quality of service, and information security.
