SaudiNIC Holds DNSSEC Application Training In Collaboration With ICANN

   12/3/2019

Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST), represented by the Saudi Network Information Center, hosted a DNSSEC training program in collaboration with ICANN. The goal of the training program was to help build skills and expertise in the field of DNS security in Saudi Arabia.

The program was 3 days long, and had 38 participants from 14 organizations. CST sought to enable the participants to secure the domain names for their respective organizations. This was achieved by training the participants on a number of technical specifications which aim to secure and protect the information provided by the domain name system (DNS), for the benefit of increased levels of security and the limiting of cyber attacks related to DNS. One such technical specification is the DNSSEC for which an explained presentation, as well as a hands-on session was given.

This program is the fourth one given in this field by CST, and the total number of participants across all of the training programs is more than 140, representing a number of governmental institutions as well as hosting providers and other companies.
